I just can't believe how much weed I save from vaporizing! I am using at least half of what I used before. I used to average about an ounce every 28 days, not quite the full month. Today, 1/2 ounce easily last me a month and a few days more.

First I got a Vapor Genie, which cost me about $75 delivered. Well, it paid for itself within a month, so now I have ordered a Da Buddha. I could have ordered a Volcano, since no matter how expensive the vaporizer is, it will pay for itself. But I didn't go for the Volcano because it's bag-only, and I like the almost-like-smoking experience of using a whip.

Which brings me to what Weezard says. Vaporizing was missing a little something for me too when I first started. What's going on is that part of the high from smoking includes the toxic effects on the body from the poisonous components in the combustion process itself. That accounts for a lot of the zombie-like feeling. You don't get that feeling with vaporizing, but you quickly stop missing it.

Another difference with vaporizing is the taste. I had gotten used to the taste of smoking, and when I first started vaporizing, the taste reminded me of something that I couldn't quite put my finger on. It made me slightly nauseated, actually, and it was worse when I finally realized what the taste reminded me of: the smell of the cat food the cat of an old girlfriend used to eat.

But then I started liking the taste/smell of herb vapor, and at the same time, I started losing the taste for smoking. I tried taking a hit off a one-hit pipe, and it was so gross I almost gagged. I didn't remember it tasting that bad!

In conclusion, you may have to learn to like vaporizing just like you had to learn to like smoking, but the benefits are well worth it. You use less weed, which means you can save money OR spend the same and get much better weed, and you give your lungs a huge break.
