Harvest time - clear, cloudy, amber?
Guys need input for the timing of my first harvest.
My questions is when you decide to harvest? Is it based on cloudy and or amber crystals at the top of the plant? middle of the plants? Or is it an average of tops and bottoms of the plants? I have 4 different types of plants and know when I would cut them but do not know if cloudy or amber reference is top of or middle of the plant (typically).
Thanks for any inputscottcc5s Reviewed by scottcc5s on . Harvest time - clear, cloudy, amber? Guys need input for the timing of my first harvest. My questions is when you decide to harvest? I would look at the trichomes a little ways from the top and see what is going on. If it looks goo check out the lower sections. Don't hesitate to clip the top buds off and tan the bottom stuff a while longer if you want to.Think of your buds like chocolate chip cookies: some people like em crunchy and some people like em chewy. Personally, I want them tanned golden brown but not crispy....and no one likes cold raw dough in the middle of their cookie.

I guess it's all about tritation..... I use too consume an oz. a day, 3/4 eat-1/4 smoke. Till I got busted in late 07' and the judge said as a matter of law I can't engage in medical use till my trial is over , this is now 2010 and my case is still ongoing.9.59 grams I am being charged with, a portion of a one day supply hahahaha......suffering this long really sucks though....the jury will see what crap they are pulling and back in the saddle I will be to go 3/4 AMBER again.

Geez, I like to do things. That last shot looks way past prime to me.
To each their own I suppose.Think of your buds like chocolate chip cookies: some people like em crunchy and some people like em chewy. Personally, I want them tanned golden brown but not crispy....and no one likes cold raw dough in the middle of their cookie.

Goes back to the OP's question, but truthfully doesn't matter what others consider finished....know what you like for a strain's finish, and know what it looks like so you can repeat it!

Wowzers! 40 pct amber... I guess you do like couch lock :P I harvest at approximately 1 pct amber... keeps people active yet there's a nice wallop upside the head :hippy: The strain I'm growing now gets that way at about 64 days.
