Marijuana and school?

Alright.. I'm a senior in college, was never really big into pot until this year. I did smoke quite a bit freshman year, but was always lazy and missed a lot of class the next mornings after smoking. However, this year I've been smoking to basically self medicate with depression and anxiety and it really does help a lot.

Anyways, my question is: Do any of you, or have any of you smoke a lot during school and been successful? Last semester was a bad one for me, and I ended up having to take a medical leave due to mental health problems. But I am continuing this upcoming semester and I plan on smoking through most of it. I feel that I can focus a lot better while stoned than I could freshman year. I just want to know what everyone here thinks about smoking and going to class or doing school work.

I've never had good success with it past high school, but a lot of my friends & fellow classmates do it all the time. Sometimes it helps me concentrate, sometimes it's just a distraction...

Thats what I'm thinking, that it may help sometimes and sometimes not. I guess I'll have to treat it like alcohol and get school work done before using

Yeah, that's what I do. I tried getting "inspired" on a few projects, but when it takes 3x as long to do the work when I've smoked it's just not worth it to me.

Haha yeah I know what you're saying. At the same time though, I'm prescribed to be taking benzo's (just switched from xanax to klonopin), and the highest dose of ambien cr there is, and some other bullshit pills that make me just as lazy. I hate prescript meds and substitute mj when I can. But I agree with doing the work, at least the majority, before smoking.

My senior year of high school, I dont think I went one day without smoking before going in. It always seemed to help me not be so irritable in the morning, and for some reason Ive always found marijuana to make me have a longer attention span. I never gave a fuck about school, but when I was baked, I was always attentive and motivated. Quite the contrary to most people I know.

Everyone is different. Some people can focus better, some can't. It also depends on the weed.

Personally I can learn on weed but it's harder. I do better without. Most people retain more sober. I would worry about the real issues that make my life so messed up that I need so many drugs to cope rather than worry about which combination will make me feel better. That shit all has a root.

We are the culmination of our experiences and choices. Depression, anxiety and mental disturbance are treated as diseases when really they are the symptom.

I have smoked daily for almost for 4 years now, and I know that smoking does have its downfall in class (especially when smoking potent herb) because sometimes I felt unsociable and tired during the morning but after going through a rough night session the day before.

But the Irony of this, is that I have manage to keep a GPA of 3.9 towards my softmore year in college, Itâ??s all psychological. If you have the means and the motivation to achieve, the opportunities are endless. You make your own future happen.

I would just advice people, homework, attendance, and participation in the subject matters, and also sacrificing at least a day or two of smoking before a test to keep the mind focused will help.

Moreover, by vaping today instead of smoking, I feel a difference in my focus, energy and memory, (probably itâ??s because of my change to a healthy diet) but I believe it did do a difference.

It has taken me a lifetime to master. In this technique you must know yourself and your poison. Everytime is different. Not enough or just toooo much will throw you so far off it's maddenning. Do not mix poisons untill your a master. I still do not mix. If you are taking scripts and smoking then your just getting stoned like the rest.

My advice is to get stoned after class.
