Confusion about curing
Ok I've read about harvesting and it talks about curing and drying. Some other posts talk about curing in jars after drying and books I've read curing can be completed in a dark area at the proper temperature and humidity. Drying is achieved the same way but at a different temperature. The time you take in this process can really make a crop that much more better.
From what I understood before is once harvested you can dry buds for up 48-72 hours followed by a curing process that involved jars and burping them periodically. But now I am reading that you cure before you dry???
I'm confused, any help is greatly appreciated.dagshet Reviewed by dagshet on . Confusion about curing Ok I've read about harvesting and it talks about curing and drying. Confusion about curing
Curing is a proccess of sweetening the bud.It is an art moreso than a science.A touch as much or more than a feel.Glass is best to use in my opinion after drying to achieve the maximum in taste as well as texture. Y'oull know when you find your individual sweetspot.

If the nugs can be snapped off of the branches, it's ready to jar.
Else you risk mold and mildew.
Here's a tip.
If you have good meds, you can forget to "burp" the jars.
I know I do.
Just crumple a paper towel and put it in the jar and it will catch potential condensation.
Now you don't have to remember.
Remove the towel after a week and keep the jars sealed, and in a cool, dark, place for at least a month.
That's all there is to it.
Enjoy and Aloha.
