First grow - 1 plant and Floro, need quick advice

Hello to any of my old buddies who are still on this site.. I havn't posted in years.

I have a single plant going right now under a 200w floro
almost a month old, 8-10 inches high, 6 nodes total

A friend gave me this rather unhealthy plant at 2 weeks old, I've had it under its new floro for over a week at 18/6 and everything thats grown on it since has looked very healthy. I have limited space to grow and from what I've read it appears to be sativa. My idea was to bump it to 24/0 for a few days then gradually decrease it to 12/12 by maybe 10 days from now.

Is it a waste of time to flower under a floro? I'd like to keep the lowest budget possible as I'm no bigtime grower and I dont really find good seeds all the time, so I'd hate to spend hundreds to grow a male plant. Is my idea going to grow buds or do I require a HPS or MH light?

    Any advice is greatly appreciated

No flowering under flouros works fine, not as good as a sodium but a damn side cheaper.

Use cool white and warm white mixed . If you could get 1 more light 400w would be fine 200w is a bit low or a flouresant but if thats all you can get then give it a go.
When i started i used an old sunbed with eight 60w tubes and had some very nice stocky plants with some very nice bud on them.

The only ting is with them you need to start your flowering when they are about 4-5 inches tall so they will finish off about a just over a foot .
A flouresants effective light is very short so you need to keep the light 1-2 inches from the top of the plant thus moving it up every couple of days.
You won,t gain anythin by growing them bigger than this unless you have side light aswell.

I have not found any floro's over 200w, would you know where I could find one?

If not, would I get more results if I got another 200w floro as a side light to grow it a little longer like you said? I wouldnt mind getting a little more out of it, of course
