marijuana contents testing(not drug test)
Hi all,
A friend of mine has his own chemical analysis company, and at this time, we utilize a combination of HPLC and GCMS for our analysis needs. Right now we are looking to expand beyond the bio and analytical chemistry business field, and one of industry we have been eyeing is the medical marijuana community, so I am posting this as a gauge of interest.
If you are interested in getting your products tested, please send me a PM or e-mail, and let me know the number of samples you would like to perform(monthly or weekly), and what is the price you are willing to pay(per sample). Our test will analyze the chemical content makeup of the herbs, including the percentage of THC, CBD and CBN. We can also test for other chemicals through special order. In general, our current turn around time for testing is about 5 business days per sample, and the results can be viewed online for instant access.
Please beware there is a weekly minimum sample thresholds in order to make this business viable, as anyone can tell you HPLC analysis is not cheap, and the only way to lower the operation cost is through volume. Depending on the response I receive, if it meets our business criteria I am more than happy to introduce this new service to the community. Oh lastly, beware we plan on only introducing this service for marijuana legal states, and will be requiring at minimum a proof of a patient's medical marijuana license.

We have one here in Colorado. Also, I think the Feds just recently came through and kinda cleaned out their labs. I don't think any prosecution is imminent, seems like they were just hassling them.
I believe the cost is $125 for a THC test on your meds.

Actually I do have an interest, but being on disability, cost is an issue. The old catch 22.
I would be willing to $100-150 to have 2-3 species tested for the THC, CBD, and CBN.
Of course I understand your side of the issue, you must be able to make money, and since all your business would come from the legit, a bunch of those folks are in financial distress due to their illness and the current economy.
Therefore, as you stated, volume is what will provide a reasonable price. Unfortunately, I would probably only want a given genotype tested only one time. It is kind of like I know plant X does this to me....what are it's contents of the above?
