Nearly 20 million tons of sulfur dioxide were injected into the stratosphere in Mt. Pinatubo's 1991 eruptions in the Philippines, and dispersal of this gas cloud around the world caused global temperatures to drop temporarily (1991 through 1993) by about 1°F (0.5°C)

Over 1.5 million metric tons of sulfur dioxide were released into the atmosphere when Mt St. Helens went up.

There have been over 100 eruptions since 1997 putting hundreds of tons of sulfur dioxide and other nasties into the air. These collectively are more green house gases than the whole of man since time began. We're also experiencing sun activity like no other ever. I think these two things play a far larger role in any climate changes we have than man.

It sure is arrogant of us to think we can predict global warming and it's cause when we can't even stop a simple hurricane from smashing into a city. Or stop a tornado. Or predict an earth quake OR TELL THE WEATHER NEXT WEEK!!

Geesh, common sense has gone to lunch in this world.
