    Getting the card..

So for the past 2 years I've had some anxiety problems, and they mostly hit me at work when I'm kind of stressed, its work after all. I notice my small attacks last about 10 minutes, i get extremely short of breath, very dizzy, everything seems to slow down and i can't help but stop and try to catch my breath.

couple days ago it got so bad i went to the hospital, all the lung/heart tests said negative so they said it was a severe anxiety attack. my coworker tells me they have club cards for anxiety. i guess my question is do they really offer card for anxiety problems? will the doctor really help me? not just think im trying to get a card to sell weed or something.

coworker also gave the medicann number to call, was going to call but heard its like $120 for the visit? was hoping for maybe some info on the visit.

go to your regular dr and see him about the issue, then get a copy of the drs report. take it in and get a perscription ( the fee varies from dr to dr)

DO NOT get the "state card" bullshit. thats a way for the state to keep track of those who have a perscription, and your NOT REQUIRED to get one, its strictly voluntary, so why would you want to put it in their face your have a perscription?

Many places are under $150- just depends on your location. Big cities have competition, small town's don't- supply and demand sets the price. Stop being shy- make the call!

Secondly, think of it like insurance. Even at $250 per year, it's a bargain! For the small sum of $20 and change per month, you won't bet busted (if you follow the rules.) (anyone ever notice how much "government" is like a "protection racket"? :wtf: )

Lastly, the whole "permission from the doctor" thing is a bunch of BS! I don't need a doctor's permission to take any other medicinal herb- not even the dangerous ones! Cannabis is a safe medical herb- WHY is it so restricted?

The prohibition of cannabis was based on lies and racism and still is. A look at the statistics of population numbers vs arrests vs convictions! If you are black or Hispanic and/or poor, your chances of being arrested and convicted are far greater than if you are white and middle class (or better).

The banning of cannabis as medicine is supported by pharmaceutical companies- just in "pain relievers" and "sleep aids", they would take a major financial hit. As new medical uses for cannabis are discovered, they will lose even more money to natural cannabis- a medicine you can grow in your yard!

Cotton growers are also threatened by cannabis, as are lumber companies, fiber producers, paper mills, oil companies and many more businesses. And of course, most racist organizations are strongly prohibitionist!

Become an activist this year. Make a resolution to do one act of MMJ activism per week. Let's get cannabis legal as any other medicinal herb!

I got my card @ Green Relief. It cost $90. Maybe it is $99 now. Medicann is great, if you have a note from your own personal doctor, it will help greatly. Otherwise, the doctor will be forced to go by your word. Any documentation from your primary physician or doctor showing that you have an illness that falls under Proposition 215 parameters, you should be able to get your card. I have severe back pains, chronic fatigue, and I have problems with my appetite, amongst other things. Anxiety plagues a lot of people, making them a nervous wreck at the peek of an anxiety attack. Go to Medicann, or wherever it is that you are closest to, and talk to the doctor. His primary obligation is to relieve you of pain/stress if you qualify for such treatment.

Good luck. 90% chance, you will get it.

P.S., don't sell weed unless it is extra medicine that you yourself have and you have checked their prescription yourself. You can lose your prescription by doing so, and it is not worth losing your medicinal marijuana rights for a couple of lousy bucks.

Any doctor info will help, but you are seeing a doctor so, he can determine by exam. I went to my pharmacy and got a print out of the drugs my primary doc gave me for the last 3 YEARS. The doc took one look and said lets talk about a 420 exemption and what kind of plant count would i need, my options for growing and available time to do so.

It was a huge weight of the shoulders to be legal, and when discussing with other card holders, that my prescript said I could grow 75 cannabis plants, 5lbs annually they wanted my docs number.

Now Ive found that threw greed that alot of people want that high plant count for other motives! I had no idea, cause I'm new to the game, that thats not normal for a doc to do so. But I have limited time and experience, and High tolerance to meds.

These are all things to consider when seeing your doctor, I can PM his contact info if you would like, I would rather not post that info.....

The doc said that the max is 99 everywhere, in every state if you have the 420 exemption, and thats the max allowed they can prescribe. Ive got the card, but Ive got a prescript 420 exempt.....and must not have more than 75 mature plants or 5lbs in my possession ever, ever!!! He also told me that it would be in my interest to let the local authority know the amount I would be growing and to give the a copy of the script to them before I grow. to label all entrances with a copy, and redcross symbols as well.

I'm most likely going to trek down to the dispensary, before I go their.. Ive heard all kinds of opinions, but I'm doing like the doc says. He gave a contact card and said that he had over 30 state attorneys and all kinds of stuff that went over my head, while I was going wow, I'm legal.

My only advice, follow the docs orders ok, and thats all I know right now!

i thought my dr was being pretty liberal when he gave me a script for 3 1/2 lbs, 24 veg or 12 mature plants.
