15% per gram is outrageous, but an overall tax should apply. The cost of regulation needs to be offset. Kind of like tobacco companies being required to pay a certain amount toward health-related industries. Yeah, pump the Marijuana tax into school for education. Teach our kids the truth about ALL mind altering substances, along with the chemical/herbal difference between each.

Her bill would see marijuana being sold in the state's 160 state-run liquor stores, and customers, 21 and older, would pay a tax of 15% per gram. No, no, no. Fifteen percent per gram is crazy. The state sales tax is the only tax that should apply on the total sale only. Then a tax fee to be a grower. :D Rating: 5
