I agree. Weed is definitely among the more useful of tools for breaking your mind out of it's cage.

I was just about to post the same response. You guys beat me to it.

In addition, one's ability to see all aspects of a situation is only as good as another's inabilty to do the same. If everyone was free thinking then we would be in an even worst situation as a society then we are now. I think with free thinking must come logical thinking; that is if you want to have a completely peaceful world. Let's face it, some people out there lack the ability to think logically so even their ability to see the entire picture (if everyone had that ability) would be a hasard to a peaceful society.

    P.S.

I once came to the conclusion that:

If everyone thought like me, the world would be perfect.

Perhaps it is not that everyone must be free-minded but in fact must think the same to have a peacful society.

You and I are on COMPLETELY different wavelengths.

Humans evolved naturally, as god intended. we came about to form the first small tribes, and for eons, that was perfection achieved; everyone had everything they needed, and if they didnt, they died. so the objective of a tribe was to TEACH THE CHILDREN HOW TO SURVIVE IN NATURE.

Which is the exact opposite of modern civilization, which teaches children how to rely on and maintain technology.

WHICH brings us to the topic of discussion: why people cannot think for themselves.

Because they are taught to rely on anything EXCEPT themselves for survival. They are taught to trust and depend on fictions of law, they are taught to add and divide numbers, taught to read and write signs, taught how to write a blog that no one cares about or wants to listen to.

But we are no longer taught the values of the elements*, we are no longer taught to care for our fellow brothers and sisters but that they are obstacles to overcome in our goals, we are no longer taught the life and names of the people in nature; the insect people, the winged people, the green people, the four legged people; we are no longer taught to respect the life in and of all things that are, but that there is no life in anything except restricted biological definitions.

We are taught that the world is but a resource for our technology, that our lives are meaningless and that our technology is all powerful and all knowing.

So, what has humanity done to meet those "needs" to bring a somewhat utopian society to the earth?
Humanity once planted the seed of tribalism, but soon after grew selfish and greedy, harvesting more than just the fruits of their labors, but uprooting the entire plant and replacing it with an artificial "new & improved" version. They uprooted our apples and replaced them with synthetics.

Kill, discriminate and hate everybody that doesn't believe what you believe...

This is the hidden truth that religion sometimes teaches people for the most part for the major religions today: Christianity, Islam, etc.

We are raised being told our faith is the real deal and that others are not, and shown that God has control over our fate; or in other words, that we aren't in control over our own destiny. So, why bother with action to improve life?
Why, indeed? Why should we try to think for ourselves anyways? We should be good little slaves and trust completely in our nations and their governments. /sarcastic, duh.

I believe when wishing takes over action in society, people have no say in society; thus, giving the people in charge the power to control the direction of humanity. This is why we have had a vast number of wars, going through the crusades and today's war in the Middle East.

All in All, I believe humanity as a whole should rely on taking action to improve the world rather than believing a deity or a person is going to do the difference.

    Agreed. 100%.

Trust not in your nation, trust not in your government, trust not in your religion, trust not in your god, but place complete trust in your SELF, to learn, to grow, to understand, and to improve.

If you cant trust yourself to do all these things, you cant trust ANYONE to.
