Since humans laid foot on the earth, the main objective of humanity has been to seek comfort and peace, but this happiness has come into peril by the needs of the people and the discovery of different cultures.
So, what has humanity done to meet those "needs" to bring a somewhat utopian society to the earth?

Kill, discriminate and hate everybody that doesn't believe what you believe...

This is the hidden truth that religion sometimes teaches people for the most part for the major religions today: Christianity, Islam, etc.

We are raised being told our faith is the real deal and that others are not, and shown that God has control over our fate; or in other words, that we aren't in control over our own destiny. So, why bother with action to improve life?

I believe when wishing takes over action in society, people have no say in society; thus, giving the people in charge the power to control the direction of humanity. This is why we have had a vast number of wars, going through the crusades and today's war in the Middle East.

All in All, I believe humanity as a whole should rely on taking action to improve the world rather than believing a deity or a person is going to do the difference.

Free thought is quite a rare gift that cannot be taught or instilled in anyone--I believe they are born with it, and that less than 10% have this (I'm estimating). This must forever be the way it is, because nurture doesn't matter NEARLY as much as nature does, it seems.

Group-think is in the nature of weaker minds, as well as self-righteousness...violence is only a step away.

i agree with you that self thought is hard to achieve because nature does have its way of medeling with genes, but they are predispositions that could be changed through experience. So can a change of social influences depict peoples thoughts about humanity?

For instance, if the media changes its influence in music to a more profound one like towards politics or reform, will it then change peoples perspective of life, so they can have an open mind about the future of humanity?

Its simple, When divided people are easy to control. Control equals power. If Everything was all honkey doory with everybody, do you think anybody would profit from peace? Do you think that evil would grow? hell no, The same people running our world want you all divided, your maluable then. Your weak, frightened, and deffenceless. Its so simple. Utopia doesn't exist. Humankind is the way it is, and the way it is, can be changed. But Utopia can never exist, because individuals do think for themselves... everyone has there own perspective on what Utopia would be. someone else's utopia may be in fact my hell. Ergo, Utopia cannot exist in a societal form... it may only exist in the individual form.

yes, i do believe that some people do not think for themselves completely. but, that's them... i'm me. I will never let the slaves and followers affect me. However, they do seem to have higher numbers. If i fall and wish to push my way on them, I am just another one of them. therefore, ruining my own utopia by contributing to the situation.

Read some Nietzsche it'll help. Or not, depending on you, lol. He happily points out that most people are slaves, and the initial reader reaction can be one of resentment, which just makes you one of them... or one of pity, which also makes you one of them... the only way out is contempt. to look down your nose at them, and move on in your own utopia. They have control over you if your will is strong enough. the path you will is up to you.

Our USA society is more free than any other nation on earth, It was never perfect but is today still more free. Things have been slipping and are heading for disastor now ONLY because we have failed in letting our GOvernment get to big and Control US. If things were stuck to as the constitution originaly had stated we wouldnt be in this mess. The founding forefathars set up the perfect set of checks and balances. All you little Karl Marx fans HAVE no FUCKING CLUE what Your Infor If you get what you want here. I will kill any and all people who violate my constitutional rights as the law permits me under the constitution. If you dont understand the dynamic of the Constitution you are a lost cause and fair game If you support anything other when the system cannot protect you. If you support any thing that violates my rights and help to destroy my individual freedoms I will not hesitate when society breaks down and theres no law enforcement to save you. I believe we are all a product of our enviorment. we know nothing when we're born. It starts with your parents and builds from there. If religion is a big part of your upbringing then the chances are you are going to be some what of a bigot no different than if your parents belonged to the KKK. This is why I would like basic religion taught in school. But it needs to be unbiased and just the facts so kids could see the pros and cons of both sides of religion.

How can you say no other country is as free as the U.S.? I'd say any other democracy is just as free, if not more so in certain ways (i.e. the media not having AS big of an influence in Europe). Freedom doesn't really exist anywhere (it's an illusion used to manipulate), but it achieves its viable apotheosis in quite a few places, not one.

And forgive me, but I've always been a sceptic as to how much of an influence experience really has...from what I've seen the more experience a man has, the more confirmed he is in his biases, unless he has an extraordinary mind.
