    3 gal. pot for scrog??

That is basically my question. Are 3 gallon pots big enough to flower 2 plants from clone under 600w in apprx. 9sq ft.? One plant per pot of course.

    Here is what I'm thinking:

Once the clones establishes healthy roots they will be placed in 4x4 RW cubes until they reach desired height to be put under the screen- 2 weeks maybe.
Once this goal is met, I'll put them in 3 gal. pots in the flower room with the 600w under 18/6 for 2 weeks or until the screen is nicely filled. Then 12/12 will be initiated.

Using this process are 3 gallon pots large enough or will they become root bound?

Oh, and if it helps, I want to use ProMix and AN for this run.

They should be fine, but let me point out that the screen shouldn't be filled out completely before flowering because there's still a lot of growth to come. Shoot for more like 2/3 filled from personal experience.

agreed. anticipate growth once switched to 12/12.

for soil i use rule of thumb... one gallon of soil per month of anticipated life of plant.

although for moms, you can prune roots, bonsai style, and keep using a 2 or 3 gallon pot. depending on how long you let your moms live.

you COULD use one 3 gal, and try a larger pot for 2nd plant, and check dirt after harvests.

Thanks for the reply guys. And thats a good idea using one 3gal and perhaps one 5gal. I was hesitant to use the latter because I don't know how the plant will respond to going from a 4x4 RW cube directly into a 5gal bucket.

And I agree not to let the screen fill entirely before the 12/12 switch. I guess I'll have to just play that one day by day.
