After the 3 years of testing and your child probaly nigh on a raving nut people are pulling there hair out by dthen and will try any thing there are non stimuli on the market now but they wont prescribe unless you know your shit and demand it so i totally disagree with your comments,youget a choice you can get your child through school or you dont what do you take????????????

I get blazed and post things on this site. Sometimes when I read them again I don't even know who that person is even tho its under my name . So I must have been way to medicated to be typing on here, but this ain't one of those times.

Better raised (overall quality of family unit )kids equals less misdiagnosis in my opinion, secondly if people went thru the steps in finding someone qualified to diagnose anything they would have way more help with dealing with the whole range of things involved and related to ADHD. If you felt like I was talking about you when I said parents first attempt to help their kids I wasn't, do you really take something that literal and out of context? I would never and have never advocated someone on choosing Adderal etc "meds" for their issues I think I did mention that I hoped a person found a balance with less Pills and more Green. I do believe I spoke about what I was doing if anything other then that.

As a generalization I think many parents today have unruly kids with or without actual mental/physical health symptoms,and too many just hope one day off from work and one appointment to the local doc will fix their family without all the actual work & patience involved with taking care of their kids. Very similar to how some think kids will learn everything they need k-12 from teachers at school and they don't need to be their teachers. There are many forms in which to conform teaching to someone with adhd.

Those are my very long 2bits sorry. Changing anyone's mind is very difficult but you can always disagree with what someone says, but make sure they say something before you just disagree with all of what they said. Kinda makes it hard to discuss without an opprobrium ensuing. Oh and using things like your ignorance saddens me deeply, seriously how is that possible based on what I commented on...wow time to take your meds,,,,

Over diagnosed yes, made up is a huge overstatement. Way back when people didn't believe in germs,,cause they couldn't see them. I wonder what Normal is like. I think lifestyle changes can make or break it for someone dealing with Real ADHD along with basic self-awareness and environmental things as well. I don't know what Dr you see but get one that actually specializes in ADHD and ask for a full physical from your family Doc and have that person refer you to someone better if they are not familiar with ADHD studies. And its funny you mention feeding our children meth, if most people parented their children better they wouldn't feed their kids drugs as a first attempt to help them, its just terrible how true parenting has fallen to the wayside.

Some days I can function as long as I am in a good mood. If not in a good mood very hard to function. And for about 3 months I went through a pretty good sized depression and did litterally nothing but work and sit at home. I was DONE with it and I don't trust the current meds for adhd honestly. So I did some research and find out that marijuana actually does very well for people with ADHD. Now back to my original question.... I just Rating: 5

Add / ADHD arre completely MADE up ,, there is no basic diagnosis that doctors check for,, you know how they find out if you have add? if you fidget in class,, get up and walk around,, dont particip[ate,, ,, basivcally any kid has add its soo bullshit,, and feeding our children with meth,, its fucked up

you know they came out with a new disorder,, its called shymans disorder and guess wwhat kids it targets,, shy kids that dont participate too much, too shy to raise thier hand ,, now theyre gonna try to shove a drug down thier throat also

The disease does exist! Problem is that everybody that has an attention problem thinks they have it thus discrediting the real cases. It is a dopemine issue in the brain. The concentration and hyperactivity etc are just symptoms... But due to the PUBLIC'S ignorance everybody thinks adhd is if you have an attention problem which is extremely inaccurate!.. But YES they want to force feed that crap down their throats! I think it should be illegal to give anybody under 18 that crap .

Our family Dr. also said ADHD is WAY over diagnosed....maybe 1 in 5000 people has an actual hyper-sensitive/tension problem....if ur that 1 person...thats shitty and I hope you find the help you need. All im saying I would NEVER put a child on these psychotropic prescriptions.....I was on ritilan as a pre-teen, zoloft & Depakote as a 20 year old and they were HORRIBLE drugs....took about a year and a half to ween off.....and feel normal again......Its my opinion that people need to start living life on lifes terms....it sucks alot....suck it up....you dont need some pill to help you. In the end it fucks you up more, mark my words.

Dont put your children on those drugs....they make life much harder.

That's where I'm coming from, I was on ritalin for about a year when I was 10 and they gave me paxil to counteract the severe depression that it caused. After learning about long term use with these drugs my mom decided to get me the hell away from them & together we learned to manage it without them. I feel there's almost always a way to control your disorders without ever having to take unsafe Rx drugs, although sometimes it's not easy & can be very unpretty lol. Mmj helps me when I cannot help myself basically, I try to never totally rely on any substance including weed (which I've gone way overboard with and totally drove myself crazy). Too much of anything is never a good thing.

i agree lol i always smoked before school insted of taking my adhd meds. worked so much better and i didnt get sick and unable to eat. yay weed!:rasta:

Update... got things sorted out.... Honestly I just am really sensitive to weed... Like REALLY sensitive... So sensitive if I didn't experience it I wouldn't believe it. I am a 300lbs guy and.............cigarette one hitter
1/10th of a one hitter will get me a slight buzz
1/5th will get me the happy lets get up and go do something fun or enteraining hyper type high... intelligence seems pretty good right now
1/2 will get me pretty decently high.... Intelligence starts to feel the effects and I am not as nearly motivated and will typically just sit there and listen to music
a full one hitter.... Im not gone but pretty damn close... intelligence is hurting a great amount by now.. Glued to chair and can only listen to music or watch tv
Now 2 one hitters or more... MIND IS GONE... No thoughts or actions happen... Litterally probably have an IQ of 60 if that when like that... Can not comprehend the most simple things... I don't even enjoy music or tv at this point.. Loud noises overwhelm me and put me into a panic almost... Everything is scary and time passes very quickly... I hate it at this point... .. Also this is decent swag.... but still swag.... anybody else know anybody this freaking sensitive

at first it really sucked because I smoked what a normal person would... a med sized bowl every couple of hours which for me kept me in the scary state whenever I was off work. Really sucked! I wanted to stop but it helped with my symptoms of my adhd even when I wasn't smoking at work
