Homeland?????

I hate the use of the term homeland when referring to United States territory. It was never used until you know who and when. It was never mentioned when I was in school all 18 years of it, and the greater part of my 60 years. Homeland, Fatherland and Motherland was never part of our vocabulary until recently, but was a term used by fascists, communists and others to describe their territory. Time we got back to our original use of US Territory, not the homeland which I find offensive to my freedom loving ethos. Now bring on the cat calls!!

I think it probably fits in this day and age. What with all the boot stomping thugs we have running our police forces. Just a matter of time before we will call it the Fatherland.
