Surge protector needed for 1000W HPS?
Just getting started with this. Do you need a surge protector between the ballast and the wall outlet? Obviously, there will be a timer too... just wondering if going without the surge protector will cause any problems.

I'm not an expert ...but, I think a timer would give enough protection?
