They flowered Already wtf???
Hey Guys how's it going? So I have a question for all you pros out there. I am currently growing 2 Feminized Short Rider Strains that I got from The Nirvana Seed Shop. I am growing in Fox Farms Soil and my Ph is about 6.5. I am going on Week 3 Day 20, My Dilema is I have been running my lights on 18/6 and I my plants have flowered already. I know they are an autoflowering strain but I feel like they flowered way too fast. My plants aren't even 5 inches high yet. My question is can I stay on with an 18/6 light schedule or should I switch over to a 12/12 schedule. Will I harm the plants or possibly cause them to hermie if I want to continue to veg them? I am confused on this one. I have read so many reviews about the Short Rider Strain not being an autoflower and that it was a myth. I have provided some pics for you fellow growers. Let me know what you think. All Opinons welcome. Um Also the last picture I have uploaded is an unknown strain, I'm on Week 4 Day 23, I am also using an 18/6 light schedule.

From looking at the attitude seed bank on that strain... it says they are autoflowering. That means they will flower under whatever light schedule you give them. I have heard that 20/4 is best for autoflowering. I would keep going on your current light schedule and take them through their 8-9 weeks or whatever it said. Autoflowering means they completely skip the veg stage and go straight to flowering. So you cant really "veg" them. If you are on week 3 then expect them to keep growing but not too tall. Autoflowering strains are usually really small. Plus with a name like "Short Rider" id expect it to be short. Hope I could help!

That's right on track, my autoflowers started flowering at day 20 also (1 at day 21). In a few days to a week they will start to stretch and get taller for another week or week and a half then the flowers will fill in until about day 60 or so when they're supposed to be harvested. Keep the light the same, no need to change it. Here's my plants on 24 hrs light.

So an autoflowering strain does not need a dark period? My concern is I have already switched them to 12/12 If I try to go with 24/7 light now will I make them hermie? I guess I have some research to do. For Future reference should I just do 24/7 from seedling to harvest?

If you just switched it you should be fine switching it back. I've played around a bit with mine's lighting and they seem to be going fine.

They flowered Already wtf???
I assure you the white hairs are there, just pretty hard to see, my camera was going a little nutty b/c of the CFL's. So I couldn't zoom in as much as I wanted to. So I'm sorry I hope I don't sound like an ass, but should I leave it on 12/12 lighting or switch back to 18/6?

I'd switch it back to 18/6, longer light cycle means more photosynthesis & more growth. In my experience, after you see preflowers it's a few days before you see the buds starting to form. Here's one at 8 days after preflowers showed up:

you should be fine bro... slam it with 20/4 and watch her take off!!
just me though.. i moved my photoperiod 12 hours to get the nite temps/my activity time to match up... and i think it delayed it a couple days but not too bad...
