Lighting Problems at bottom of the plant
Well, I'll admit I went cheap on the lighting, I have a 75w grow light from lights of america, and a 75w flourescent from lights of america, but my plants are growing pretty well. I am worried because the bundles of leaves under the top sprouts seem to not be getting enough light and withering. The top through about 2/3 of the way down look great and are growing very quickly, but the bottom is clearly suffering from lack of light. I think overall the light in my box is to dim and I am considering adding another flourescent just to intensify the light and hopefully get more on the bottom portion of the plant. If anybody has any suggestions or knows of a lighting system that is less than $40 that I would be better to swap out with let me know.

Walmart 26w cfls you get like 6 for $12 and get a couple y socket splitters. Do you have some sort of reflective hood. Are your walls covered in in mylar or flat White paint. Also you could try low stress training. lumen's diminish very quickly from florescent lights.

Lighting Problems at bottom of the plant
Okay, I saw them tonight when I was there. Do I need to mount them to a board and keep them almost touching the top leaves or just mount to the ceiling. My box is painted white and yes I have a reflective hood. On my current getup.
