WOW, if you only knew how dumb I feel right now.
I purchased 2 new fixtures instead if the 4 socket fixture that sat crooked, I decided to go with 2, 3 socket fixtures that I will drill onto a ply wood and put them side-by-side. For a total of 6 sockets. Now that I know I can put splitters I am thinking if I should put them on now for a total of 12 bulbs, or just wait till flowering to do that.

Now about the gnat problem I bought sand and pest strips today and will put everything on tonight, but I've heard about putting molasses to kill bacteria and later kill the gnats.
Will that work? How much do I put and is it safer than putting sand and risking the fact the roots would get less oxygen?

I don't have a fan in there right now because I've been planning on making a setup to decrease oder when that begins to become a problem. I am planning on buying a computer style fan and placing it above the lights as an exhaust fan and connect it to a laundry style exhaust filled with this fish tank material that will so-called kill oder.
