You will need something to check your ph and nute level. Accuracy is important, and generally the more it costs, the more accurate it is, as long as you calibrate it periodically. Its hard to give advice when you don't even know enough to have specific questions. Don't worry, we all started where you are. I would advise you to do nothing until you read at least one of your books. That will give you someplace to start, in fact you probably should have read a book before you went to the store. You bought some stuff you will probably never need. At a minimum, you shouldn't need to use any nutes until at least 2-3 weeks into veg. Happy growing!
