"After law school, I clerked for Judge Donald P. Smith at the Colorado Court of Appeals, and then worked at the law firm of Long & Jaudon, P.C. where I practiced medical malpractice defense. I thoroughly enjoyed civil practice, but I wanted to be a prosecutor and try cases so I began working at the District Attorneyâ??s Office for the 18th Judicial District in April of 1990."
