Maybe its a stolen phone. How about all the farm subsidies to the tune of millions of taxpayer dollars politicians are getting like welfare kings and queens. If one is going to dig, dig on them all.

The welfare and food stamps system is bs. My old acquaintance who had a child and no job got around $200 a month for foodstamps. Then, once he gets a paper route, around $400 a week, he then gets $350 of foodstamps every month. Now at Walmart, you can get about 2 1/2 carts of food if you buy the store brand of everything, for just around $300, which of him, his babies momma(a total *cough*cunt*cough*) and a couple stoners sitting at his house, that amount of food lasted like more than a month. So where does the concept of, "k now you have a job and can support yourself a bit more here's more free money", make ANY sense......

Well here in Washington state, if you get any income over $50 per month, they deduct from the $339 cash they give you and cut your food stamp amount. So, you would need to show that they are giving more FS benefits by making more money working. And, I too, would prefer to be self sufficient and not take a dime from the state or gov, but if I need it, I'm gonna take it. But, I'm still not getting what farmers are getting for not doing anything. For my measly subsidy, I have to go through all kinds of bullshit and prove I'm not stealing from the system. :thumbsup:

This what paying taxes is for. You should get something out of your government for paying taxes, otherwise why bother paying taxes?

technically, the Food Stamp program isn't 'welfare' ... it is actually a program, to guarantee a market for farmers' products ... it's purpose is to avoid farmers going broke, finding a different career, thus, starving out the country ... one of the few government programs, that's half-workable (notice I said 'half', don't want to encourage the thieving assholes
)

It's somewhat like that here...My dad is on SSI disability, and the foodstamp/health care program says his $1300 a month is too much to qualify even though his rent is $750 and all the meds he has to take are like $300...
