No Pic, But advise is greatly needed/Appreciated. almost 4 weeks Flower
Okay, Let me start this out by saying this. I have no camera to take any pictures so sorry that is out of the question.
Little Beak down I guess
I am using Mg time released soil/ Really ain't any nutes left in the soil Imo.
I have a 400w Mh in a Ac hood. Have a fan pulling air threw the hood from out the box.
I have not got my area dialed in and finished like i want but this has been working so far.
My hood is about 6-7 inches above my colas, Not really hot when i place my hand level with them for 2 min. But the glass is hot ass hell when I touch right below the bulb... Ya stupid and obvious right:stoned:.
My box is like 2'X4X5 1/2' which is 8 sq. feet. Box is over filled, You live and you learn ya know. But it is all working out, Just a lot of rotating needs doing.
Now here is where I need advise at.
My ladies are roughly 4 weeks into flower come Christmas eve, Thursday.
I have not gave them any kind of nute since 1 day before flower. I have a good 4-5 weeks left of flower I will say easily, Should I start giving them some bloom nutes ( Technofloral) I will not be able to get the nutes I need til this coming Monday. Now will it be worth it to go get some and give them 2-4weeks of nutes, then start flushing.? I have Bagseed/Sativa...PPP which looks awesome at 4 weeks already lovely Trichs on them. Some sativa Thai., And some Indica so my ladies will be done different times an different weeks.
And there is more, Yes more.:smokin:...... Okay Now some of my ladies are starting to yellow and get brown spots/ dead leaf spots. I believe it is a Cal/Mag issue from what I have read and seen. I don't think it is heat stressed as other ladies side by side are either doing it or not ya understand me. I am looking and it seems to almost be the ones that were in pots longer then others, Minus my PPP which is doing the same dam thing but she was re potted 2 weeks into flower. Any opinions here fella/Gals
And should I re pot my ladies as I am starting to believe they are all pretty much root-bound, And I have one bushy ladie 3 feet tall in a 1.7 gal pot that is root bound I know for sure. I know I am in flower an want buds to grow not the roots but I am really unsure of what to do, And the 3 footer is gonna need at least 4 weeks & 4days
Thanx for stopping by and reading this long page of beginner mistakes an issues I have ran into.
Ya not to sure what my Ph is as I have no tester and that, But when I did another plant it had no issues. Minus It got bud rot on a little part of plant cause of my stupid mistake.
I know a lot of you will say get a ph tester, Ya I know this but its not a option right now it either that or bloom nutes.

I would maybe do a transplant into something thats not to much bigger thn what they are in right now, just so the roots are not soo rootbound, but not big enough that they have too much space to fill. That is my suggestion, which is by no means a professional one.

I'd transplant asap and start them on 1/2 strength flower nutes.
What part of the plant is yellowing with blotches? (lower fans, all lower leaves, up to mid-level fans...) Effective light from a 400w is about 3 feet, so yellowing down that far is normal. If not the lights, it might be calcium deficient, and adding 1 tsp of unsulphered molasses to each gallon of properly ph'd water will cure the calcium defeciency, and Molasses bulks the plants up. (don't overuse) Most bud swelling products I've seen are some form of molasses recipes.
-or-
Your ph might be off, locking-out nutrients. Sometimes you can call a local aquarium store and they can let you know the ph of local tapwater. If not, they sell freshwater aquarium test kits for $7.00 or so. By knowing the ingoing ph of your water, you can identify if it's the cause of the problem, or eliminate it from possibility.
If replacing soil during a transplant, and you're using MG potting soil, you'll have to adjust nutes accordingly. (ease-up on the flower nutes to perhaps half-strength...but watch results and adjust as needed) The plants will have another bout of stretching as the nitrogen is gobbled-up. But since you're only adding what...a gallon of soil to fill the new pot, not a big deal, however you might need to watch headroom.
Generally, if you restrict the roots, you are restricting canopy growth, too.
Plants will start to suffer if you do not restrict nitrogen in flower. A little is necessary, but too much is damaging. get the bloom nutes first and foremost.
Summary, and an educated guess sans photo's: rootbound and starved for bloom nutes. Would suck to get this far, and be screwed over a $10.00 bottle of nutrients.

Ya, Rusty I am going to the shop tomorrow. Will be grabbing some liquid kool bloom. 0-10-10 will that be sufficient, Should I grab anything else nute wise to help the cal-mag issue as I have not seen the unsulphered molasses, or molasses really. Money is tight so I am working with only $35 and the KoolBloom is $22. Not sure if I should use the Mg to transplant this late in flowering what do you think.? But it might be the only way to go depending on the prices of soil now. The $35 is what I have for the nutes, all extra change will go to my hardware store pocket lol
