Hey man, 8 23w CFL's will work, and well. Want proof? How about 6 doing it? Check out my grow log(in my sig), I'm only using 6 23w CFL's, so 8 should be better.

Also I would advise you to leave your seedlings in the cups for at least a week or 2 after they have popped. Transplanting as soon as they are above ground isn't needed. I had seeds in peat pucks for a week before the roots started to show through the netting, so it shouldn't be a big deal.

The 6500k color temp bulb is what you want for veg, you will want to replace them with 2700k for flower though. As for the bulbs redtails posted, you need to make sure that you have sockets rated for 105w, or 210w if you were gonna run y adapters, otherwise you might start a fire, or burn out your bulb when you go to use it. I personally would stick to simple 23w or 42w bulbs that you can get at basically anywhere.
