Good way to do it, is when you water them, pick one up after watering and then kinda get an idea of the weight when wet. Then when they dry obviously they will get lighter. When you pick them up you can get an idea of how dry or wet it still may be. Also, putting your finger into the dirt and feeling how moist it is will work also!

I use a cheap moisture meter (with 8 inch probe, about $6, the whole grow) It has three readings: wet-moist-dry. I water when it says DRY. Works great on 3gal/10 inch pots, too...
below is a pic of it, in front of the cups

how much H2O?
here we go
i have the same problem going on...
little brown spots that seem to just disappear ond leave a hole in my plants leaves.. i thought it was just the one plant but now that i have looked all over them all it seems to be wide spread (8 of 12) and seems to start as a light-ish green almost scaley look then goes to yellow then brown then the 'dead spot' as i am calling them go away.. and leave a hole in my leaves.
sound familiar?
hope we can figure this out..
help! please

i just gave the girls a Good feeding. looked thru the log and i has been close to or more than a week since i fed them.. i think they have a little of a lot of defencies. also i have been feeding at half strength (1/2 T per gal) bumped it up to 2T a gal to get the missing nutes to them.. am hoping that this works and i was not too late in the 'day'. lights shut off at 6AM....
thanks italiano.. good guess for shitty pics.
i am right here looking at leaves and looking at pics on the site you posted and looking at the leaves and I'M not sure. but i concure cal and mag and zinc and maybe a few others.. will post the info on what my nutes have on my grow and see what you guys think of them..
thanks all

Hello. Looking at your ladies I believe either you are over watering or you have no drainage. Right now the weather is still cold,so even though the soil in your plants may look dry give them a day or 2. They will be OK remember they are a weed. Weeds do not need much water. In cold weather I usually water my plants every 2 weeks if I have them in solo cups. I've gone up to 2 months with out watering depending on the size the plant. Make sure you have drainage hole on the bottom of your cups. Also make hole on lower outside edge not on under bottom. Hope this helps you. good luck and be happy.
