Hey from Colorado!
Hello,
I am moving to Colorado this coming January, and I have never lived anywhere with extreme winter weather conditions. What types of things do I need to prepare for, and any info on dispensaries in the Golden area?

Have you made the move yet? Prepare for COLD! LOL
There are dispensaries in Golden. Not sure how many at this point. Check out the Colorado board for more info.

Hey from Colorado!
First look at strainman's google map of dispensaries. Then there is also 's map.
Denver has 3 fewer golf days then LA per year. It's a common myth that we are frigid cold all the time. I grew up here and we can see 80deg F in mid January and average in the 60's the entire month! However if you see an 80deg day in Jan or Feb it's VERY likely to be snowing and cold the following day.
They say if you don't like the weather in Colorado? Wait 10 min.
If your bringing your car to Colorado and have never driven in the snow. Get some beefy studded snow tires and remember,.. Don't floor it at the lights! Tailgating will cause accidents, and slow down WAY in advance of the lights (sliding through them is dangerous).
Layers are the way to dress,.. Because although it may be 20deg when you left for work. It may be 75deg at noon!
AND Welcome to Colorado! :hippy:A wise and frugal government, which shall leave men free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned - this is the sum of good government.
I hope we shall crush in its birth the aristocracy of our monied corporations which dare already to challenge our government to a trial by strength, and bid defiance to the laws of our country.

Hey from Colorado!
Colorado is not too bad weather wise...it will be a blizzard today and dump a foot of snow on us and tomorrow you'll be out washing your car in a tee shirt all in January. well that is if you live on the front range and eastern plains. Drive 30 minutes west and it is a whole different story
Plus the bud is fantastic and dispensaries opening up like starbucks, pretty good place all around to be
