A Bong Fix.
I had a bong that was shattered by an ashtray and glued it together with J-B Weld it is water proof and i hear its drinking water safe...
it takes 24 hours to dry, doesn't expand, you can break glass before the "weld" will break and it looks somewhat clean. if you can fit the glass together it wont even look that bad.(i think it would look better if i got another try)
Heres some pictures

damn that's a shame! I've seen way too many pieces go in similar ways, which is why I came up with Das Boot!....
how exactly did it happen?
to answer your question about using JB Weld, I've personally smoked out of pieces that were "fixed" using "food safe & heat resistant" silicone, but it seemed like the lack of air flow on the inside of the pipe never really allowed the toxic smell to go away...
Perhaps you could try running something like a fish tank air pump through the female stem of the pipe for a couple days to make sure everything dries out and all the smell is gone.... but I'd personally just chalk this one up as a loss, and switch back to dry pipes or papers until you can afford another one... And on the next one you get, you can always protect it with something like a Das Boot!

@Glugg
Thanks for the compliment! I came up with it after watching waaayyyy too many nice pipes go the way of the one in this thread. Literally, I've seen thousands of dollars of glass broken in my day for the stupidest reasons.
The best thing about Das Boot is that it also keeps the water cold (or hot, if you prefer) while you're smoking, as well as protects the pipe from setting it down too hard, knocking it against the side of the table (or ashtray, as in this case), and has even been tested for small drops.
The sides are extra-thick 3mm neoprene rubber, and the bottom is non-slip and extra thick 5mm neoprene rubber, for safety and stability. This is not the same cheap foam or thin neoprene that you commonly find on other types of beer coozies. Plus the outsides, and insides are covered in a soft nylon fabric so they will slip on easily and never damage your glass.
I'm probably going to make some youtube videos to show just how effective these are.

I hope you don't get offended at a couple suggestions,I also like to make and sell things and I'm only trying to help.
First avoid the term synthetic when dealing with pot smokers..."the same material that wetsuits are made of" would be how I'd explain neoprene to anyone that didn't know what it was.
Secondly if you could get some decorative artwork silk screened onto your product,it would increase its value, function and make it more eye catching.(fantasy,nature,humor and sci-fi art work)
Like I said ,I like your product and your selling it at a very fare price...just wanted to give my two cents on how to make it easier to sell.

Neoprene, that soft spongy stuff, sure.... But what's a wet suit? Caught out in the rain perhaps?
