Democrats Forge Historic Agreement on Health Care

The repubs had me thinking they won but alas we got it done and will finally start to rein in health care costs.

So far they say it will save $136B the first ten years and more in later decades.

Bring on the repubs in 2010.

Voting GOP this year is like giving the keys back to the drunk driver that wrecked the economy when they show no remorse for their actions and haven\'t even sobered up yet.

The only thing we keep hearing about the bill is how many loopholes there are for big pharma and hmo's. Haven't heard a single good thing about the bill from either side of the isle.

It isn't perfect but we have time to fix it before the parts I disagree with kick in, i.e. a mandate to buy insurance without any control on how much they charge me.

Anyone that thinks this is going to be cheaper or somehow give anyone better or even the same level of health care is seriously wrong.

Name a single government program that isn't bankrupt. Given the governments history of running things into the ground, what do you base your faith in their ability to run this properly?

If I had Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, USPS, AmTrak, as my resume, I'd never get a job, they're all bankrupt and government run. So why is it anyone trusts the government to do anything efficiently? I'll base my opinion on their record, not what they say. Anyone that wants you to buy into something too quickly has something they're hiding.

Nobody from either ideological group can say this is some historic victory for jack shit....there is NO public option, there is NO TORT reform, there is nothing but payouts to big insurance.

Health bill money for hospital sought by Dodd - washingtonpost.com

and from the left leaning Huffington Post showing the huge growth in insurance company investments since the death of the public option.

Seeing Public Subsidy (Not Public Option) Investors Flock to Health Insurers

This bill is utter garbage....will do jack shit for anyone bbut raise ur costs and JACK medicare recipients of 500 trillion/

And from the Wall Street Journal

A Reckless Health Care Bill That Nobody Believes In - WSJ.com

Bring on the Republicans huh....funny, funny, stuff....how are those polls looking for Dems? Well here is Rasmussen showing how popular the Dems are

Dems are gonna be assasinated in 2010

There is a reason these fake, intellectual elitists had to do this in the middle of the night with not a single private citizen having read it.....cause it's shit and they know it...but they HAD to get Obama something to save face.

agreed image reaper, very bad form not to read what you make a law. same as having a deaf jury at a trial.. they may see a few things but they are just as in the dark as our politicians that voted blindly
and killer, i dont know about you but i grow pot BECAUSE i cant afford the cost of the prescriptions that are on the market now. with a $5k investment you can have weed for life but $5k only buys a couple months supply of any drug for ANY serious illness you may develop. to take care of all of the things pot does for me i would spend my whole paycheck, instead i only spend half... jk but you see what i mean??
    and yes roundeye,
the govt. is terrible at doing anything but kill people. they are alarmingly good at that!! so i think we should allow the generals and politicians sway for a year and i bet we have the country straightened out.. maybe different but defiantly WAY better that spending our way out of sight to get out of debt...
so what i think is overall yes the DEMS are FUCKED and judging by the voting record of america, not just her politicians either, we will get our selves a WORSE leader/leaders. now thats going by what is done not said. and thats the end as far as i can see....
LAMO dont take me TOO serious, just remember life can only be won by living LIFE, not worrying about tomorrow too much.:smokin::jointsmile::stoned::thumbsup:
