    Any problems with ordering seeds?

    Hello to all...

Thinking about ordering some seeds after seeing some of the beauties available. I've searched through the forums but wanted to ask some questions anyway.

Question 1: Has anyone had a problem with LE when ordering seeds from overseas or across the border? I teach at both HS and University and do not need any focus on me.

I'm thinking of ordering white rhino, white widow, bubbalicious, aurora indica, and possibly a durban. (thinking indicas are better for indoor grow?)

Question 2: which are the more potent/higher thc strains that are easier to grow indoors? Which would you recommend?

I'm using a customized wooden amoire with cfl's, in soil, and just growing some bagweed seeds at the moment to get my technique down. Used to grow outdoors years ago but decided to become stealthier. Plan to start a grow log for input once I start growing the nicer beans.

Even though I live in a non med state, I smoke for chronic back pain, depression, anxiety, etc... not interested in growing commercially, just want to grow the good herb for myself.

Thanks for your input and Happy Christmas/Merry New Year to all.

I've never had any problems, & I've heard that if your seeds get found they send you a letter from customs usually and that's it. There's always the possibility that the local LEOs will drop the letter off personally but if you order it under an assumed name you always have plausible deniability becuase a few seeds in the mail alone shouldn't be enough for a warrant, especially if it's addressed to someone that doesn't actually live there.

That's nice to to know. I spoke with my attorney today and he echoed pretty much the same thing.

Just got finished mixing soil and perlite into starter cups and have bagseeds germinating as we speak. Set up the initial cfl lighting system and should finish the final setup tomorrow. Testing the chest of drawers/grow cab for light leaks and so forth. The 1st grow log should begin soon!!

Any strains you personally recommend? I'm thinking indicas, seeking out higher thc producing strains that have a nice taste..... Hope you have a great weekend and thanks for responding.

Can't wait to check it out. I like indicas as well for indoors, no personal fav's yet but I'm going to be trying out kushberry in the next few months and I'm liking the DNA Genetics strains. When in doubt go with old fav's like Skunk or WW, even Blueberry though I think that's usually mostly Sativa?

A local here is also talking up blueberry...haven't had the pleasure of it myself. WW is definetely on the short list and I keep hearing alot about white rhino and aurora indica. Thinking paradise and attitude to get beans from. Suggestions are always welcome as are personal experiences.

Going to shop for fans tomorrow......

My initial lighting startup is 4 100 watt CFL's, 6500 K at 1600 lumens per. These are in y adapters in a clamp lamp for the time being. I have a four socket lighting fixture that once wired and mounted onto a wooden piece will have 8 of these same bulbs in y adapters.

    4 x 1600 = 6400 lumens
    8 x 1600 = 12800 lumens

I'm using Bright Effects 100W replacement (really only uses 23 watt) CFL's, 6500 lumens. These were the brightest and highest lumen and watt I could find at the DePOT and Lowe's. I can always get another fixture and more bulbs, but am only dealing with ten seeds and hope that no more than 5 are male...

How big's your grow area? I found a really cheap place to get S&P inline fans online with quick delivery & paypal payments:

HVACQuick - S&P TD Series Inline Fans

They are very quiet and look super sharp, I have the 100x(130cfm) in a box that's 2'x2'x4', keeps the box about 35 degrees cooler:

All you need for the first 3 weeks is simple 4foot, dual bulb, 40watt, T12 fluorescent shop lights; in the 6500k (kelvin temp). This, will let you grow a cup full of good roots. T-12's won't burn, no heat; and can be within 1-2 inches of the leaves.

...then things get tricky......after three weeks...you need all the light you can get. Class dismissed....:stoned:

    My grow area is 36" wide x 18" deep x 48" high.

My seeds are starting in wet paper towels and will be transplanted to small plastic drinking cups with organic soil and perlite, small holes at the bottom for drainage. They are just bagseed (but in its defense, it was some very rightious bagweed!!), wanting to get everything down before I go and buy the good beans.

I'll take some pics and post when the wife allows me to handle her camera. According to her, I'm an idiot when it comes to HER electronics.....

Gotcha, I see what you mean about developing the root system. I'll do more homework.
