I don't think that this "profiling" should be taught, but learned. Have cops that have a gut feeling, and have experience that makes that gut more liable than some no-knuckle-fucker sitting behind a crown vic who needs to fulfill their "performance assessment"(told that from a cop that arrested me, so in other words, QUOTA!!!!). I'd feel safer with cops that had a history that they were dealing with were in charge.

Years back there was a lot of controversy about this, in the academy they were tought if you see a minority in a nice vehicle, pull them over for any reason you can, and search them and the vehicle using any reason you can, as well as other things like, if a black man drives past doing 70, and a white man drives past doing 80, pull over the Rating: 5

i fit the local profile for a 'druggie'..
and i have the juvenile record to prove it, but thanks to Maine's laid back view of pot no criminal charges. i have since learned to be smarter than the profile. even if i AM a pothead does not mean i have to make a big deal/make it obvious. now i just seek to blend in as best i can. and i dont ride around hot boxxin the ride.. ha ha
but seriously profiling DOES work or else they wouldnt have started in the first place and if the cops would just stop messin with people who grow an herb then it would be all good. as it is i am good friends with a few cops and they all know i smoke. no idea about the production, but they think that oyx's and coke are WAY worse for the kids and smoking a bit of pot is better than drinking a few beers. and thats a quote from the chief in my town. loL
