    Induction 40w screw-in lights

I see where these lights came out recently. About the same lumen output as a comparable 40w CFL, but lasts 50,000+ hours instead of 6,000 hours.

Sounds great, but alas the price is currently out of sight at $69 for one bulb.

Sounds good on the surface. Question would be, what is the light frequency? There is a good post on here about induction lights now having the proper colors. Might be helpful.

Looks like they found the 2700k bulb worked best. However this grow isn't done yet. Only about 4 weeks into flower.

With 50000 hour lifespan they could end up saving you money even at $69.

I believe they are 3000K. Not designed for horticulture at this time.

They have a wide range of CRI's now.

I look for PAR at 300 and 700 nanometer ranges for UV and IR absorption. It takes a larger driver then a screw in induction lamp can produce. Also the best induction lamps use external electromagnetics that excites the argon gas in a 12 blend phosphor sealed vaccum tube. Alas the price may be out of range with 4-700 Us being the average ag grow lamp but then again these lamps have much better heat managment so they rate them at 100,000 hrs with no more then 30% lumen depreciation You can see the difference as the magnets look like big donuts surrounding the lamp.
