The other day SWIM came face to face with some shit. SWIM was given a surprise RIA with GC/MS confirmatory results urine screen! Before SWIM go any further SWIM will let you know about SWIMs previous urine screen experiences.

SWIM is very active and does cardio and lifts weights almost everyday, except for the last week SWIM has been slacking.

Swim is roughly 180lbs 5'10" and 14-17% body fat.

The last meal SWIM ate was at lunch time the previous day. SWIM ate fish and vegetables. SWIM is concerned with this having an effect on SWIMs creatinine content.

SWIM can pass a First Check TLC urine screen within 16 hours of smoking between 3-5 hits while giving a sample of decently concentrated urine. This was during a time period when SWIM was not going to the gym regularly.

SWIM can maintain this while smoking at this rate 1-2x per week.

However, prior to this surprise urine screen SWIM may have smoked 3-4 decent hits off half an L of very mid-grade. This was roughly 12-14 hours prior to finding out about said urine screen.

Swim also consumed high quantities of pseudoephedrine the night prior to said screening. SWIM did this in an attempt to raise heart rate and in turn hopefully raise metabolic processes to clean up. SWIM experienced about 1.5-2x increase in heart rate. SWIM also drank excessive amounts of cold water, roughly 3/4 of a gallon in hopes to also raise metabolic processes.

SWIM urinated in the morning prior to taking urine screen. SWIM urinated at roughly 6:00 AM. SWIM did not urinate again prior to urination for test.

Prior to urinating SWIM consumed extremely excessive amounts of water, perhaps in excess of 1 gallon. SWIM also held SWIMs urine for an extended period of time in hopes of maximizing dilution. SWIM held SWIMs urine for roughly 2 hours, for roughly 1 1/2 - 1 1/3 hour of this SWIM had to urinate extremely badly.

When SWIM finally gave urine sample he SWIM literally pissed an EXTREME amount of piss. SWIM has NEVER EVER pissed this much before in his life regardless of using dilution on many occasions. Swim believes SWIM urinated in excess of 20-25 ounces of urine. SWIM provided a sample that was taken from mid stream. SWIMs sample could literally be mistaken for water. SWIMs sample was also said to be "cold." SWIM assumes this means SWIMs urine was colder than the average body temperature.

SWIM is providing this urine sample for DoD. It was claimed to SWIM that "all samples are getting gassed." SWIM finds this extremely difficult to believe because DoD Directive specifies that samples will first go through immunoassay testing (presumptively RIA). DoD Directive also specifies that if creatinine levels are >5mg/dl said samples must go through GC/MS testing.

SWIM took a 7 pannel TLC test >1 hour after providing urine specimen. SWIM passed the fuck out of test with heavily colored lines.

SWIM does not believe that DoD labs discriminate based on urine color. SWIM has always submitted DoD urine screens with a sample water clear. SWIM passed initial urine screening while dirty using this method. However, initial screening was done with some sort of dipstick containing what looked almost like velcro on the bottom. SWIM does not believe this is the RIA test.

SWIM has a few questions.

Do SWIY believe that all tests will be gassed?

Will SWIMs results be adjusted in accordance with urine specific gravity to combat dilution?

Does SWIM have a possibility of having creatinine levels below >5mg/dl? SWIM finds most information about this states "levels >5mg/dl indicate substance that is not human urine."

When a confirmatory GC/MS test is done, is this test generally done by only looking at weights of metabolites for that specific drug? (for exmaple: SWIM failes for methamphetamine due to pseudoephedrine use. Technician then sets computer to supply readouts for the weight range of methamphetamine metabolites?)

What is the likelihood of SWIM having false positive for amphetamine use because pseudoephedrine use? (Keep in mind pseudoephedrine is highly soluble in water and SWIM drank excessive amounts of water the previous night.)

Do you think it is correct to say - SWIM assumes that SWIM can provide sample >50ng/ml at +16:00 hours with concentrated urine. SWIM finds average creatinine content of urine to be between 40-180mg/dl. Say SWIMs concentrated urine sample is 50mg/dl creatinine content. Say SWIMs thc metabolite content of concentrate urine is roughly 40-65ng/ml. In order for SWIM to reach a level of >5mg/dl creatinine content SWIM would have to dilute urine at a rate of 10x. This would intern bring SWIMS thc metabolite content to roughly 4-8ng/ml. SWIM acknowledges that THC surely metabolizes faster than creatine, especially having not eaten a meal in roughly 18-20 hours. But with this crude thinking SWIM believes his concentrated urine content would have to be beyond 100ng/ml THC metabolites in order to not be above 15ng/ml diluted at a rate of 10x. Is SWIM perhaps right in this thinking?

Do you think SWIM will fail this urine screening if only tested via immunoassay testing?
