Showing off my Girls!
The most important thing is to figure out how strong of an EC, or PPM range your strain enjoys. I went too high last grow, frying some of my buds, and then ended up using too little in the beginning of this project, so I ended up giving the Blue Dream up to 1500 ppm of base nutrient ( Bloom, or Grow during Veg ), and the Chem Dog IV likes a little less at a ppm of 1250 base nutrients.

Keep your humidity dialed in, and your temperatures controlled also. Humidity affects Cannabis flowering in very strange ways. Stunting flower production occurred in my first grow with humidity levels around 70 percent. I found the sweet spot to be around 45-50 with lights on, and 60-65 lights off.
Nitrozyme is the shizzle during veg! Once a week, I applied a half strength shot of Nitrozyme, it really boosts a plants veg production based on what phase of vegging its in...ie tilling stage, stalk growth, root growth, etc. When they were clones I applied the Nitrozyme as a tank feed for their first and second watering, then it was foliar from then on.
