HOW TO POST PICTURES
Alright so I see lots of new poster having questions regarding posting their pictures. There is a few ways you can do this.
The first and probably the simplest, is by having 20 posts on the forums. Once it says Registered+ under your name, you can post pics! To do this you go to the advanced reply screen, and under the text box, there is a button that says "Manage Attachments". Click this and you can select up to 5 photos to add to your post. These pictures will be uploaded directly to the forum and should stay there.(NOTE: Only 5 pics per post are allowed)
The second way is to use an image hosting website such as photobucket or tinypic and link in the pictures from there. This is also fairly simple to do but requires an addition account on the image hosting site. I personally use photobucket to link in pics to forums, and it is VERY SIMPLE. Once your pictures have uploaded to the hosting site, you need the image url. an example would be "http://www.photobucket.com/bdalbum/abcdefg.jpg". Once you have the image url, you simply copy it(highlight it and press ctrl+c) and then when you post a thread/reply you simply click the little yellow/gray mountain symbol above the text entry box and paste in your url(ctrl+v).(NOTE: Not all of the growing forums allow linking in pics/pics can be deleted by the host if your account is inactive for too long).
Hopefully this will help the forum noobs and if anyone else has any other methods, by all means post em up!

HOW TO POST PICTURES
These forums also have a member album where you can post pics. Go to "User CP" then on the left under "Networking" there's a link for "Pictures & albums". Super easy.
Also if you use an image hosting site like photobucket, they have links under the pics to copy the url for various posting methods like email & forums. You want to copy the IMG section, it automatically posts the pic in the message(certain sections only like grow logs) instead of a link. If the IMG code is OFF for a section you're posting in(like indoor growing) it'll still post it as a link. Oh, & make sure to resize to something like 400x600 before posting or people can get mad with a gigantic pic in there lol. Photobucket has an option to automatically resize your pics when uploading or you can manually do it after.Take everything said with a grain of salt, nobody knows everything and everybody knows nothing.

HOW TO POST PICTURES
as already mentioned, really BIG PHOTO files, are a pain to download for people with slow internet connections, or, as in my case, (I pay per bandwidth), it costs me $$ to open large files ... frankly, it usually ain't worth it,

Aha, excellent points, thanks for the input guys! I had meant to put that photobucket can automatically resize but I suppose I "forgot":stoned:. Another great thing photobucket does is give you the option of linking a thumbnail, so you don't post the huge pic directly.
Also a photo resizing program can be quite handy for those that opt to use the forums picture manager, and they can be easily found through google for your specific operating system (XP, Vista, Mac), although when I was using Vista(switched to win 7), I had a program called prish image resizer, and I would recommend it to anyone with vista that was looking for something simple that does batches of files. I am assuming most digi cams these days are at least 10 megapixels, and usually output a file that would be ~4mb from the camera, but an image resizing program, even if you keep the initial image dimensions can cut the file size dramatically, which helps people like The Image Reaper conserve bandwidth

thanks, bonedaddy  ... another free program that works great, is 'IrfanView' ... a free imaging program, almost like a small, user-friendly Photoshop ... lets you resize photo files, move them around, add special effects, etc., ... really a good little program

Wanted to bump this so it doesn't get lost. Another great and simple tool is the Windows Powertoys image resizing tool, it gets added to your right-click menu(like the prish resizer) and its that easy. I'm pretty sure the versions available in the link work for any windows OS, but I'm not 100% on that. Also it is FREE.
