It's a microdermal anchor, basically my piercer punched a hole in my skin, pulled some tissue out and shoved a little foot-shaped piece of metal under my skin and screwed in a flat disc...a week later it was all healed, so I replaced it with a star. My boyfriend passed out watching it LOL
