cannabutter...and more cannabutter

I'm sick to death of cannabutter...of course I've not gotten to the good part yet, the using of the stuff. But as for making it, I'm over it.

Sick to death of everything being covered with mint green film and can't wait until the process is finished 100%.

So, first attempt at it. I had/ have huge quantity of vita-mixed, green dust...from some popcorn buds but mostly trim remains. I did not like the hash I made one time and so have just ground and stored the stuff.

1st round started Thursday night. 7, 1 quart jars, weighed out the stuff at double the ratio Stinky recommends as my ground green is not from buds. Between 7 jars used 4 #s of butter.

Half way through the process and seeing the mess made I decided to do another round, and so Friday I bought more mason jars and did another 7x. For this second round I filled the dust up to the 4 cup mark and distributed 5 pounds of butter between the 7 jars.

At this point I have the butter from the first round, hardening in molds outside (where it is freezing) and was happy to net six cups.

Second batch has done last separation but in process of heating to be able to pour/measure...

QUALITY PROCRASTINATION: as this was being made to have an edible for an NFL game I'm attending in...uhm 12 hours or so. Weather forecast calling for freesing rain and sleet...LOVELY...didn't think of this when $$ tickets last July.

So at this point I don't know if I've got it in me to make the caramels or not. But will atleast have butter to mix with peanut butter and chocolate to have some edible magic.... Not great that no test dose application was possible.

Reallly hope there's some kick to the stuff as I'm setting up to have 15 cups made.

I used trim leaves and small popcorn buds using Stinky's 2g/1tbs ratio and got a great kick out of the cookies i made. 1 cookie was a decent buzz, 2 was a good high, 3 put u in a coma.

The process is long and tedious; the treat is worth it in the end.
Your butter should def. be potent enough, given u doubled Stinky's recommendation.

Id never thought to make carmels out of the butter. Something to definitely try once my grow is done!:thumbsup:

I did stay up late and make the caramels and......it was worth all the hassel!!

I ate one on the train on the way to the game and one at half time. They did their jobs and I was positively effected for hours and hours.

The second batch of cannabutter, where I was hyper vigalant at scraping remnants out of bottles ect. Produced nearly 10 cups, which would have been zero loss.

So between the two batches I got 16 cups of washed cannabutter from 9 #'s of butter!!! I have enough trim dust to make another batch...but right now I've got a bunch of butter left and a bunch of caramels (mostly not cut individual...and had serious challenges wrapping)
