    Question time...

Hi troops, i hope i havent messed things up in my friends grow room, the lights where on 24/7 from the first 20 days then dropped it to 18 then in a coupe of days more down to 16, i dunno kind of like how nature would start giving less light, but i think i might have kick started flowering, is this possible with 16 hours of light? i hope I'm just tripping.....Oh and their not auto floweing strains

    Question time...

I've learned from growing for many years that sometimes the plan will show large preflowers even in veg.

I would say that 16 is 2 hours too short for veg so you should change that back. But after that is done you should be good until your ready for flower.

    Question time...

If they are not just preflower then I would say some strains can be triggered by 14 to 16 hours of light. Places like Hawaii never have 12 hourlight days. Most don't tigger untill you get to the 14 hour mark.

    Question time...

Sounds like you already have your solution, I'll just comment one the light changing process your used. I rotated my lights schedule from daytime hours to nighttime hours and I found that adjusting the light schedule 30 minutes at a time per day was no problems for the plants. Just like you said, in nature the lights don't change that drastically, so I moved lights on up 30 minutes and lights out up 30 minutes each day until I arrived at the times I wanted. I run 18 hours lights on and 6 hours of lights out.
