It did that to me too for like 2 weeks(back button), you have to press it 3 times once the page is loaded lol. Just went away one day & now it's normal.

I use tweezers also, easier for me than toothpicks or whatnot. You have to be more careful though. I took one of the cotyledons off once with the shell and the plant survived until I accidentally gave it full veg nutes after only 3 days from germination (LABEL YOUR WATER!). If using tweezers you just want to grab the shell from the top & bottom next to the stem and press gently until the shell cracks, then you can pry it off and pray your plant survives.
redtails Reviewed by redtails on . Auto Seedling Won't Shuck Her Shell Hey y'all, I have this Short Rider that germed but stopped growing, and she won't get rid of her shell. I am wondering if there is anything (surgery or whatever) to do to save her. I tried putting her in a warm spot, kept the soil moist (but not soaked), and she's been stuck in this stage for 4 straight days now :( Just wondering if there's reason for hope. Thank you everyone :) Rating: 5
