Questions about hair testing.

I rarely smoke, last time before the 5th of Dec was over 6 months ago. While on vacation I took 2 hits from a joint.

Prior to vacation the place I was thinking about applying at was not hiring, when I got back from vacation I found out that they are getting ready to hire for possibly the next several months.

About ten yrs ago I worked at this place as a student and passed the hair test because I stayed clean for 90days. I just hate to wait 90days to put in a resume now, which would be about March 5th being the soonest time I could apply if I have to wait a full 90 days.

1st question: Will the 2 hits I took be enough to show up? I'm assuming yes.

2nd question: Is there a certain time after use that the thc will stop being deposited in my hair? If there is a time when it stops being deposited I am assuming I can shave everything and then after that time let it grow again.
I already shave my head because I prefer the look so unless I grow a small patch on my head, enough for them to preform their test they will have to get hair from another area.


What are my options?

1. It depends on the length of your hair. Rule of thumb is, your allowed 3 small smoking sessions for every 90 days if your hair is at least 1 1\2 inches long.

2. It will stop depositing after 3-4 days, and yes all the new growth after you shave it will be clean hair. Yes if your hair is not at least 3\4 of an inch they will take it from another spot.


How long is your hair right now and how much time do you have to take the test?

Deige, the majority of my hair is shaved right down to the skin because I was just on vacation on tropical islands, which I normally don't do. The hair on my head is always shaved down to the scalp.

I do have some time before I would actually get an interview, which if they wanted to hire me would require the hair test. I don't know exactly how much time I have before then but probably a month or 2.

What do you mean 3 small smoking sessions? That was one small smoking session on the 5th (2hits), and the time before that was over 6 months ago. I rarely smoke.

Most generally hair growth is 1\2 inch every month. So, the cutoff threshold for thc would be one small smoking session per month( 1 small joint, small bowl, or small edible). That's how you get three smoking sessions in 90 days and 1 1\2 inches of hair. That being said... If your head is shaved they will most likely take it from your armpit and if your armpit hair is 1-1 1\2 inches in length you should be fine.

You know for sure it will be the :thumbsup:? Hair grow about 1/2 an
inch a month, so if your hair is less than half an inch, it will detect only
the last 30 days. By the way body hair grows much slower. So half an inch on
the body can detect upto 60+ days.

Like is stated above... they will be looking for a sample that's at least 3\4 of an inch long. Bash, if you have chest hair I would shave it so that they will be forced to take it from your armpits. Now that sample... unless you shave or trim regularly it will be at least 1 inch long giving you a longer cleaner sample for the test.

Everything is shaved except my legs. So I will have to let it grow before I can have the test done.

What I don't quite understand though is this: Say you smoke today and about 3-4 days later the contaminants are done being deposited into your hair, how long would you have to wait to shave the actual contaminated hair off?
I ask because if you have ever plucked a hair from the root they are quite long (sometimes 1/8"), and I would think you would have to wait for that hair to become exposed outside on the surface of the skin before shaving in order to actually get rid of the contaminated hair.

Am I right? If I am right how long would you have to wait to shave that? Would you have to wait 18 days after smoking it?
