do the roots still grow?
I tried SOG and then got a net and ended up doing SCROG. I find that I get bigger yields this way and I can user bigger pots and space the plants a little more. When I did SOG its almost like, "fit as many of the damn things in there as you can."
First I FIM(basically top your plants but leave the bottom 10% of the growing tip) all of vegging plants about 2 weeks before flowering. This ecourages lower growth and if you FIM right you get 4 big colas on the top. Giving them 2 weeks until you flower gives the lower branches some time to grow and give your plant a bush shape.
Your going to need some netting so you can train your plants. When you stratch the net out there it will be seperated into sqaures, The sqaures are going to help you train your branches to grow so they all get light.
I get a net and put it about 8 inches above my flowering plants. I then make sure the screen is nice and tight at wait until my flowering plants start to stretch. When they just stretch to above the net I take every growing top i can find and train them into each open sqaure of the net. Try and make sure that each cola gets hit with as much light as possible. Then at this time I go down and cut off the small weak branches and leaves on the bottom of the plants. This lets the plants use the energy elsewhere aka the bigger tops that get more light. it also helps creates some space so its easier to water the plants.
With all of the tops getting a good amount of light they will grow into some very nice size nugs and your screen will be a big mass of sticky green corn cobs!!!!!!Feed them with some good flowering nutes and keep the ph around 6to 7 and you will have a good harvest.
Thats how I grow mine. Hoped it helped you out some. I can show you pictures if you like.Whoever created this universe left marijuana as a gift to the earth, im just being grateful. :stoned:

do the roots still grow?
I'd like to see pictures
How do you water with plants/ net?
Since they are tied, there is no ability to move plants around in order to balance out light....(those closest to directly under..stronger...?) Do you find any issues from this?
How far apart per what sized container?
thxs
