It's cool man. I definately understand what you're saying. But I want to clear up a few things.
1. I'm not a pot head. Maybe a stoner on hiatus at the moment. BUT I have a legitmate medical condition recognized by the colorado department of health.
2. I'm not looking to participate in the "green rush" so many people are trying to profit off of. I'm just looking to get treatment for my severe chronic headaches, by supying myself and not having to put up with the side effects and risks of darvocet and other meds which didn't work nearly as well as even the cheapest weed.
3. Ganja isn't my only reason for wanting to leave south Texas aka Northern mexico. It's getting freakin filthy here and Co just seems like a nice place to live with some intelligent peeps.
Hey bro, sorry bout that. I understand where you're coming from and I have to admit that when I moved here a few years ago access to MMJ was definitely a factor I considered when moving. I also prefer MJ to the prescription meds I was getting. You aren't that far away either. I hear others wanting to move cross country and its obvious that they haven't really thought anything through.

I have no problem with people moving here partly because they will have personal access to a medication that they otherwise would not. But I am opposed to the people whose primary motivation is to move here to make money off of pot. Its just not realistic in most cases.

There was another post where some kid wanted to move out here and start growing and selling weed. Sounded like he didn't even have a real medical condition and made it clear that he was coming here solely to survive off of marijuana. He thought the job market here was great. Its not. I just read something that said that Colorado was one of the hardest hit states by the recession. And most people don't know that Colorado has been experiencing its own recession for many years before 2008. The job market here sucks!! And its not easy to break into the supplier market with no connections. Currently you can sell any excess harvest to dispensaries, but it looks like there's at least the possibility of that coming to and end within 2-3 months.
Anyway, good luck. I hope you make the decision that works best for you. Colorado is a beautiful state as you probably know. There are so many great things about this state besides MMJ that its sometimes annoying that's all that some people think about. I've actually said I was going to move to Colorado since I was a kid. If you have any more CO questions I'd be glad to help you out.
