I think most Coloradoans don't want to see their state turn into a refuge for disillusioned potheads. There are already tons of people who are trying to get rich in this industry. It'd be hard to make a living in this industry without any connections and/or without being set up already! Its happening now! Prices are going to plummet and within 3-6 months I bet supply will be so abundant that its going to be hard to make much money by supplying to dispensaries.
If the powers that be get their way, I think the opposite will be true. Their desire to put numerous roadblocks (licensing requirements, big $ fees to state and cities, geographic restrictions on grows etc... ) will inevitably raise prices, because many current growers, upon whom dispensaries are relying for product, will give up or go back underground. Reduced supply plus increased demand (500 license apps per day?) equals increased prices at every level. Simple economics.
