Two 1000w Lights in a 12x12 room with 12 plants. Overkill?

do you have good ceiling height?...4-5 foot tall plants need about another 20 inches from the canopy to the light...unless, cool tubes are used.

I have 8ft ceilings. I have the lights on those adjustable "yoyo's" so I can adjust them as high as a foot from the ceilings. The lights I have are a bulb inside a glass tube with reflector on top. The lights are both vented also. Was thinking about growing plants 2.5ft than going to flowering stage.

Does that all sound like a plan?
