Plants are finally doing good. Pointers for others struggling

So I went in thinking I could okie doke my way through this. I had my eyes opened and my plants are shooting up now mostly thanks to the guys on these forums. Things I had to learn the hard way.

1. Don't use old soil, learn about PH. Transplant as recommended. Use good potting soil and some pearlite or sand to aerate the roots. 50/50 mix
2. Temperature is important but greater than 90 is deadly.
3. Get your temps to 67-72 with a minimal drop on lights out and you will be amazed. My plants are nicely green now.
4. 24/7 veg is not ideal. Roots need lights out.
5. Don't keep messing with your plants, just let them grow.
6. Watering is important to learn and there are easy tricks like planter weight.
7. Learn what lights to use and make sure to use them.
8. Nutrients are complicated don't use them if you don't understand. You will need to learn identifiers for problems and what nutes to give them so get busy. Also using nutrients is an art to balance root growth then use those roots at the last minute on the buds. Study, study, study get ready for those special 2 months.

So happy my plants are busting out 5 leafs now and doing great. :rastasmoke:

P.S. I haven't dealt with pests yet, but this is a big thing us new comers need to research. Spotted Spider Mites or whatever seem to be most common, there is home made pesticide in the FAQ somewhere I printed it.

Spider mites really suck, but indoors it's not quite as common luckily. I had 5x 7' plants that were destroyed by those little buggers, there's really no way to get rid of them from the buds so make sure you got them taken care of before then if you do get them.
