My First Stealth/Dresser Cabinet Grow Box

this is my first grow so im very nervous. i was so frustrated about where to grow my weed but then it came to me in the night. i have this Dresser with cabinets on both sides that i NEVER use because there's nothing in them except unused DVD/Game cases and books i used to read as a kid. i keep all my (probably about 70) DVDs stacked infront of one of the cabinets all the time so my family never gives it a second look. its about like 1.5'x1.5x3 (MAYBE) with a shelf in the middle. the shelf was built in do i had to break it off, it came off fairly easy due to my fire extinguisher lol. i cleaned it out and drilled a 5'x5' square where im going to install a PC fan in the back of it. now im about to use some electric tape to seal off the creases and find a broken lamp to use as a light source. i havent the slightest idea about what im going to do about the smell later but i might put one of those hourly air freshener things on top of my dresser. i dunno if that will work but its a shot. im so excited about this.

I'm doing the same thing using an old set of chest of drawers! I was just in my garage taking the drawers out and taking measurments.

I'm about to saw the front fascia off the drawers themselves and then mount them on a frame with inside hinges. The idea is that this will still look like an ordinary chest of drawers but the entire front will swing open instead of the drawers being pulled out.

The bottom will have a small piece of plywood to effectively seal the entire cabinet with no light leakage. I'm placing a cpu fan on the back towards the top, a smaller incoming hole at the bottom, and sealing the entire thing with caulk. I'm going to paint the inside of the thing gloss white.

The slides the drawers used to go on will serve as excellent mounting for the lights. The entire thing should be able to hold several plants, even a small hydro system. I plan on using a number of cfl's placed at the top and along the interior sides to create as much light as possible.

I'm thinking of starting out using some of my bag seeds for grow trials to get the overall system down and learn how to grow efficiently and create yield and quailty, and then acquiring some white widow and bubbalicious seeds.

The grow is just for me, not a huge grow but enough to keep me and perhaps the occasional friend in fat supply while remaining un-noticed. I live in a really nice apartment complex and even if a maintenance guy was to walk in, he might smell something, but he'll most likely not look into a chest of drawers. Hope yours works out,

I used to grow outdoors in Florida by the Okefenokee swamp and west Texas, but here in the city covert growing is the only choice unless you want to pay way too much for average smoke.

You're going to burn out that fan too quickly if you use a small intake like you're planning, it puts too much pressure on the motor: like drinking through a coffee stirrer compared to a reg straw...maybe try several smaller holes or a 2" hole or two with a piece of black pvc pipe leading the air in a few inches to create a sort of light trap?

im also starting a grow room in my cupboard/wardrobe. only for 2 plants but with a 400w hps grow light and mylar for the reflecting. going to put a small desktop fan in there and cut a little hole in the top.
this is my grow kit i bought but there upgrading my nutrients : ).

im starting building a starter cabinet its about 19"x20"x16.5" just until the seeds start to grow and the plant can mature a little before i plant it in the back yard im probably gonna slap some tinfoil around the inside and i got this really big computer fan that hooks right up to the electrical sockets its about 3.25"x3.25"x2" ill drop some pics here when i get the chance and for lighting i got a philips 60 watt 120v agro-lite a19 with just a stand up lamp... its my first time growing any suggestions? i got 3 seed of 3 strains in there as of right now... i got red bull, ghost, and deisel
