I wish I could say. But I know what you mean, the chutes are huge at the base. I've been working on a techniqe I call combing, I'm sure it's called something different, but I simply brush the fan leaves back everyday. Or simply tie pars of them together to allow more light to the "strong" chutes/lower chutes to grow as tall as the main. I've found led to be more efficient in getting spectrum to the hidden or dark areas of the plant. Other than that, it was a gradual feeding starting at 190ppm to 1300ppm and now relaxing a bit to 1080 which is where I'll try n keep em. It might help to see the top angle.
