Dark brown spots then dead leaf
I have been watching these spots on my leaves for a while now. At first I thought it was because of my nutrient abuse when I tried to grow these in 3 different systems in the past month. Then I thought it was because I would sometimes splash water on the leaves and burn the plants but now I think I have a real issue. The spots are spreading to other plants and on growth after my learning curve issues. The leaves steadily grow more crusted with the spots, the leaves yellow and then they get hard and crispy. What to do?
Ppm - 250
ph 6.0
water temp res - 70
plant temp - 75
aeroponic single tub, lower pressure misters
Advanced Nutrients Sensi Grow 2 part fert and I use hydrozyme (30ml in 5 gallon tank)for the roots

I just saw something about possibly this having to do with fog. Any chance this is because fog is leaking out of the tray and burning the leaves? If that's the case, no way I can do anything about it. They continue to get bigger so unless this is going to consume my plant, I guess I cant do much about it. If it is the fog then as the plant grows bigger the less of a problem this will become.

I started with RO water that I get at a local stand in the middle of a grocery store parking lot. The water tests at 10 ppm prior to me doing anything with it. I am unsure of the chlorine in the water but I doubt there is any since it's filtered RO water, but then again they do start with city water at those stands don't they? I think they filter for chlorine though.
I might also add that I also have a 3 head fogging unit in the tub in addition to the 20 low pressure misters. I get these bugs where I take the fogger out and put it back in again a week later. I cant decide whether or not I want to continue to use it.

Your spots are cause by a calcium/magnesium deficiency.
Add enough to the RO water to bring it to 250ppm. then mix your nutes , let it sit for a while, then test/adjust the PH.
Don't sweat the Chlorine, or the Chloramine.
It's actually good for the rez.
Kills slime molds and fungus without even annoying the girls.
The old damage is permanent but the new growth should be OK.
2 cents, please.

Yea, I think your right. I believe others have complained before about RO water needing cal-mag.
Is there a cheap solution at Home Depot or can I mix something up without needing to go to the hydro store to get something special?
I just changed the water recently, can I just add in a little bit or bring the ppm's up using cal-mag at this point or am I better off changing the water? My only complaint is that every time I change the water I have to jostle the plants around and cause chaos so I'd like to avoid that again this week if possible.

No problem, just add some CalMag to the res.

The preceeding is just speculation. I have no real experience with anything other than CalMag.
Best to ask some one who actually knows what alternatives work, yah?
