Dab them with a alcohol soaked q-tip and hand pick is safest.
Best to avoid any kine poison on something that will be ingested.

    Any suggestions?

If you've got aphids, you've got ants.
Set some ant bait near the stems.
    Then address the aphids.

They are fairly fragile and easily killed with just about any insecticide.
But, if you release some lady bugs at sundown they will stay the night and lay eggs in the morning, then fly away.
The ladybug larvea eat many times their weight in aphids hourly.
If you do not stop the ants first, though, they will just keep bringing new aphids.
There will always be more ants, so smear some tanglefoot around the base of the stem.
    It slows them down some.

    'Zat he'p?
