this is writen byone of the elders in my activist group i just wanted to share what he said with all of who wish to read it and hope it inspires some From this thread is born hope and inspiration. For what was once nothing more than several people expressing opinions and view points has turned into a reasonably intelligent debate between numerous activists, concerned consumers, unsettled sideliners and general curious minds. Again, a wonderful thing.

I personally choose to stand my ground. I have to often bowed in subservience. I am no longer willing to accept the status quo. I believe cannabis has far too much to offer to society as a medicine, as food, as hemp, oil etc to allow my ELECTED leadership to take the direction they obviously are.

We have such a corrupt and evil group of thugs running this country we could easily demand inquiries to establish given known's about liberal government drug dealing but NO we sit on the fucking couch, bitch, moan, whine, eat, fart shit and sleep right? Trailer Park Boys, CSI, Six Feet Under whatever.. I am sick of such a useless, meaningless existence.

It is not for fame or glory, not just another story, not about a point of view, not about me and you, not about moral ground, not about new wisdom found.

It is about my right to believe, whatever fabled dreams and illusions I conceive.

My name is Eric Wood and I am a proud Canadian who along with two other coordinators (Frank Discussion and Matt Mernagh) is again, PROUD to be presenting the American/Canadian Highway 420 Cannabis Conference and Protest in just a few weeks. Our group believes that the unjust and underhanded tactics used by politicians, police etc to continue the prohibitionist propaganda as they are must end and end now.

Countless sick and innocent people are persecuted daily for making a health style choice which in no way shape or form is any of the governments God Damn business.

If you can come to Niagara Falls on April 16 and attend the conference and forum we are organizing there you would be doing a great service to the community that we ALL belong to if we use cannabis in any form.

I applaud Marc Paquette for his tireless efforts to keep the community apprised of current events as overwhelming and convoluted as they may be. Reality is what it is. I hope to be reading strings about the 420 conference and protest there soon.

There are many active groups in Canada just as there are in the US and the ones I am involved with could all benefit from alliances with other such active and interested groups. I hope to be able to convince some or all to participate in the legalization process in whatever capacity they can.

Please, if you can send the details of the HWY 420 conference and protest to as many contacts as you can in the hopes that just one of those would be able to attend and bolster the support needed on both sides of the border to end this insane war on drugs.
