Failing that spray regularly with neem spray. comes from the neem tree and bugs do not like it and also will help with keeping plant seriously green. Og and it is organic. My brother in law was also saying that milk with crushed up garlic, put in a spray bottle with a couple of drops of dish detergent to help it stick to the leaves is also really good and wont damage your plants. all completely organic.
recipe for a litre is something like this...
crush a clove of garlic..fresh is best, into approx 1 cup of milk, top up to 1 litre with fresh water and add just a couple of drops of dishwashing detergent into the mixture.
Im told it is really good however I havent tried it. My B in Law is a bit of a green thumb and swears by it.
Best of luck bud...

Sadly neem STINKS! If you get it on your buds, the flavor may be affected. I do not recommend neem as a flavoring agent for cannabis!
Garlic smells better than neem, but still.......
Try this, get out the powdered cinnamon and shake it on your soil! Many bugs hate it and it sure smells better. I found these 1 pound jars of cinnamon at the Dollar Store, but even at the grocery they aren't too pricey. The downside is that you have to reapply it every few days. Might even help hide the scent of your grow from visiting relatives.

Sounds like fungus gnats. Little buggers love damp soil and warm temps.
See if you can change those two factors. Let it dry out, and try to cool the root mass a bit.
If it becomes a serious problem, which normally with certain control methods it doesn't.. but if it does, there are larvacides that you can use. One in particular is call Vectobac. It's an agricultural larvacide that they use to control black fly and mosquito populations.
Also, make sure there is no standing water in the room (you should never store water in the room) and make sure there is as little dead debris in the room as possible.
Hope this helps,
Bob.
