My name is Dan, I was in a motorcycle accident back in '06. Landed hard on my right hand and split two metacarpal bones lengthwise and did some soft tissue damage.

As was explained by the doctor who treated me, I developed severe arthritis in the affected hand. On bad days my whole right arm is useless, but on good days I can do anything I want.

I started smoking marijuana as treatment after the doctor refused to prescribe anything stronger than tylenol for pain. I have an adverse reaction to codeine, and the only thing I was prescribed was T3s with codeine. Now, I had never smoked weed before this, not to any real effect. I was not a pothead, I'm not just looking for TEH DRUGS. It is safe and effective treatment for my injured hand, and unfortunately it looks like I'm going to need it for a long time. All I want is to not have to pay through the nose for something I need just to stay pain free.

It costs pennies on the dollar to grow rather than buy, I just need a doctor to let me do this legally.

I pay $320 a month, with an authorization to grow I could pay about $20 a month (various supplies and hydroelectricity).
